Double margin pilot drills are designed to be used when close tolerances and high concentricity are a priority. After drilling past the pilot diameter, the second margin stabilizes the drill allowing for an extremely concentric close tolerance hole. Often this can eliminate the need to ream the hole all together.
Designed for/but not limited to: Stainless steels, titanium, aluminium alloys and various other heat-treated materials.
