Tripleshot reamers work very similar to Doubleshot reamers, with the added advantage of an additional step ensuring the hole is rough drilled, rough reamed, then finish reamed using the .020″ step to ensure the workpiece has an excellent finish.
These reamers also have undercut at each step diameter to prevent delamination of the job. Increasing the number of smaller cuts the reamer takes, will reduce delamination.
Capable of drilling directly into the job and reaming through to create a concentric clean hole.
Generally used in manual operations for composite materials such as graphite epoxy, fibreglass and carbon fibre type materials.
